Black magic, witchcraft, voodoo, does it raise any goose bumps? Once in our lifetime, we must have heard of it or in a rare case, experienced it. It can easily be described as the thin line between madness and magic; the practice said to lure the darkness in and to use it to fulfill some self-seeking motive. Although there are certainly many arguments evolving about the scope of authenticity in this area, still those who believe in it are severely drowning in the practice.
Many countries in Asia, Europe and other remote areas that possess
rich and one of the oldest cultures have witnessed its illegitimate practice
and rituals seeking certain human sacrifices and weird happenings to fulfill
the procedure. In such places, vulnerable children, virgin girls,
pregnant ladies, animals, etc. are slaughtered to complete the cycle and achieve
some unattained power to possess the spirits of the other world and compel them
to use their powers to let them accomplish the motive for what the practice was
done firsthand. These ceremonies are either time bound or venue bound. For
example, it is said that a full moon or a moonless night, a cemetery or a graveyard doubles the effect.
But where did this
all start? There are many stories, myths and legends revolving around claiming the
originality, but it can be simply quoted that it sprung into origin the moment virtue entered the
world. With the birth of light, darkness also evolves. So, black magic is
practiced by those people who want to attain power, fulfill some deep dark
desire, or seek to challenge the nature for what they want to achieve. Black
magic could be stated as the clear confrontation against the will of nature and
beware, that whenever the nature is challenged, it always comes along with some
consequences.
Most of us believe in destiny and keep the faith that
whatever we get is predestined or we must put genuine efforts to achieve it.
But the sharp turns taken by people acting as short cuts, prove to be fatal in
the end. There are certainly no shortcuts in life and practicing black magic
for some ulterior motive is surely a jagged and impulsive short cut. If we
force nature to work for us, not too late nature retaliates with grave results.
If you believe that the warning is only to keep this type of custom on a low
profile, then it would be a deliberate mistake. This leaves the practitioner
either physically crippled or psychologically imbalance sooner or later. Nature
knows its ways to compensate the loss for sure.
Thus, black magic sounds interesting in books or movies,
but in real life, there are no short cuts and challenging the nature’s balance
to achieve something selfish through some thoroughly forbidden magic either
would take you over some day or destroy whatever you already had in order to
compensate the misdeeds.
